Travel LPN in Tarzana, CA

A Travel Licensed Practical Nurse will support outpatient urology and women's health care in an acute care hospital in Tarzana, California, on a 26-week contract. The unit uses Epic and serves ambulatory patients needing exams, catheter care and related procedures.

• Assist with outpatient urology and women's health visits
• Prepare patients for exams and procedural care
• Support urodynamics, PTNS, cystoscopies and urethral dilation
• Help with pelvic exams and catheter placement
• Document care in Epic and complete follow-up calls
• Collect specimens, monitor vital signs and reinforce patient teaching

• Active California Licensed Practical Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 2 years of outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse experience
• Epic charting system experience
• IV and blood draw certification, Foley catheter insertion, phlebotomy, medication reconciliation, telephone triage, wound care and vital sign monitoring skills

• Urology or women's health experience
• Home health, LTAC or skilled nursing experience
• Aseptic tray setup, TURP patient care and pre/post hemodialysis support
