Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for high-risk obstetric patients in an acute care hospital in Eureka, California on a 26-week contract. The unit supports labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in an 11-bed, 15-room setting using Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and maternal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean births
• Circulate for cesarean sections and recover mothers and newborns
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products
• Educate parents on feeding, discharge, and newborn care

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Postpartum care experience
• Triage of obstetrical patients
• High-risk antepartum experience
• Amniocentesis and circumcision care support
