Travel Intermediate Care RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for adult patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit serves trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients who need monitoring or interventions every 1 to 2 hours, with a 1:3 ratio and Epic charting. It is a teaching hospital with Magnet recognition and advanced stroke and trauma care.

• Monitor adult IMC patients with frequent reassessment and telemetry
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive infusions as indicated
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to changes in condition
• Provide care for trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients
• Assist with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Coordinate with rapid response and other support teams

• Active South Carolina or multistate Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• 1 completed travel assignment
• Previous ICU or IICU experience with 1:3 acuity
• 1 year of Epic experience

• Ventilator care and neurocritical care experience
• Trauma, stroke, and spinal cord injury experience
• Pre- and post-neurosurgery or craniotomy experience
• Surgical drain and insulin drip management
