Travel Intermediate Care RN in Bedford, IN

A Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a med/surg step-down unit on a 13-week contract in Bedford, Indiana. The unit averages 24 patients in a short-term acute care hospital, uses Cerner, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Assess and stabilize adults and geriatrics with step-down medical-surgical needs
• Administer oxygen therapy, HFNC, and other respiratory support
• Manage blood products, heparin protocols, and related medications
• Perform IV starts, peripheral line care, PICC care, and phlebotomy
• Support care for chest tubes, feeding tubes, and ostomies

• Active Indiana Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Blood product administration, dysrhythmia monitoring, IV therapy, and phlebotomy skills

• Previous charge experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Port and central line management
• BiPAP/CPAP support and ABG interpretation
