Travel ICU RN in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for adults in a high-acuity hospital ICU on a 26-week contract in Mission Hills, California. The unit serves neuro, trauma, stroke, STEMI and surgical patients in a Magnet acute care hospital, with 24 beds, 12 overflow beds and Epic charting.

• Monitor adults with neuro, cardiac, trauma, stroke and surgical critical care needs
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips and manage other ICU infusions
• Assist with ventilators, suctioning, drains, chest tubes and blood product administration
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines and port access
• Support EVDs, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains and hypothermia protocols
• Assist with chest tube procedures, procedural sedation and bedside cardiac or GI care when needed

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and LA City Fire Card
• 2 years of ICU experience
• Prior travel experience and community hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Neuro, cardiac, ventilator, arterial line, central line, chest tube, EVD and vasoactive drip management skills

• Epic charting system experience
• CABG, IABP, Impella, TAVR and valve repair/replacement exposure
• Trauma Level I experience
