Travel ICU RN in Milwaukie, OR

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a short term acute care hospital on a 10-week contract in Milwaukie, Oregon. The 6-bed unit serves adults and geriatrics, uses Epic, and is part of a teaching hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor adult and geriatric ICU patients and respond to changes in condition
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Manage ventilated patients and support BiPAP and CPAP care
• Assess dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases and hemodynamic trends
• Maintain arterial lines, central lines and PICC access
• Administer blood products, IV insulin, sedation and emergency medications
• Assist with chest tube care and maintain isolation precautions

• Active Oregon Registered Nurse license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale
• 1 year of intensive care experience with 2:1 patient assignments
• Epic charting experience
• Community hospital experience

• Neuro ICU and acute stroke experience
• Ventilator management, HFNC and tracheostomy care
• Hemodynamic monitoring and 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Charge nurse experience
