Travel ICU RN in Los Angeles, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital in Los Angeles, California on a 26-week contract. The unit has 28 beds, an average daily census of 24, a 1:2 ratio, and uses Allscripts charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill adults and geriatrics
• Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
• Care for ventilated patients and perform suctioning
• Administer blood products and maintain IV therapy
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Support open-heart and balloon pump care

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of ICU experience
• In-person VIP, MAB, or CPI certification
• Relias EKG test and onsite EKG competency
• ICU competency in ventilator, arterial line, central line, PICC, blood product, and drip management
• Community hospital experience

• Cardiovascular ICU, open-heart, and intra-aortic balloon pump experience
• Post-cardiac surgery, medical ICU, or surgical ICU experience
• Allscripts charting experience
