Travel ICU RN in Duncan, OK

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adolescents and adults in a 9-bed ICU on a 13-week contract in Duncan, Oklahoma. Typical ratios are 1:2 to 1:3, with cardiac, respiratory, septic and post-procedure patients. The setting includes advanced monitoring and ventilator support in a community hospital.

• Monitor critically ill patients and report status changes
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage ventilated patients and high-flow oxygen support
• Assist with arterial lines, central lines and chest tubes
• Prepare patients for cardiac cath and post-cardiac surgery care
• Administer blood products, IV insulin and procedural sedation support
• Support infection prevention and multisystem organ failure care

• Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of intensive care unit experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS and NIHSS
• Prior travel experience
• Community hospital experience
• Arterial line, ventilator and vasoactive drip skills

• CVA and acute stroke management
• LTAC experience
• Charting system experience
