Travel ICU RN in Downey, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for critically ill adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital on a 15-week contract in Downey, California. The unit uses Epic and supports ICU and CCU patients.

• Monitor critically ill patients and respond to acute changes
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per protocol
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP and high-flow support
• Perform arterial line, central line and PICC care
• Administer blood products, IV medications and sedation
• Assist with stroke care, ABGs, rhythm interpretation and chest tube procedures

• California Registered Nurse License
• ACLS and BLS
• CPI and MAB or VIP certification
• NIHSS
• 2 years of ICU experience
• Electronic charting experience

• CCRN
• CVVHD or CRRT experience
• Pre and post cardiac catheterization and intervention experience
• Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV experience
