Travel Histology Tech in Frankfort, IN

A Travel Histology Technician will support tissue processing and slide preparation in a critical access hospital for a 13-week contract in Frankfort, Indiana. The unit focuses on skin cancer and MOHs procedures, serves adults and geriatrics, has 6 rooms, and uses Cerner charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Process excision, incision, and shave biopsy specimens
• Cut tissue sections with microtome and cryostat
• Prepare frozen sections and mount slides for review
• Perform basic dye stains and H&E staining
• Manage blocks, cassettes, reagents, and tissue freezing methods
• Support MOHs procedures and skin cancer case work

• ASCP-HT certification
• BLS certification
• 1 year of histology experience
• MOHs tissue processing experience

• ASCP-HTL certification
• Aqueous processing
• Commercial or reference laboratory experience
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience
