Travel Histology Tech in Atlanta, GA

A Travel Histology Tech Histotechnologist will support specimen handling and slide preparation in an acute care hospital histology lab on a 16-week contract in Atlanta, Georgia. The unit supports pathology, cytology, and IHC workflows and uses Cerner.

• Receive and verify surgical specimens
• Accession specimens in Cerner
• Process, embed, cut, and stain tissue samples
• Collect blocks from pathology assistant staff
• Prepare slides for pathology, cytology, and IHC review
• Maintain specimen flow and lab organization

• ASCP Histotechnician or Histotechnologist certification
• 2 years of histology experience in a pathology laboratory
• Formal histology technologist training program or associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
