Travel Float RN in West Hollywood, CA

A Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a hospital unit on a 15-week contract in West Hollywood, California. Epic charting is used. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry changes
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and insulin protocols
• Manage ports, central lines, drains, oxygen support, and wound care
• Care for patients with stroke, seizure, renal, surgical, and trauma-related needs
• Collaborate with rapid response and other interdisciplinary teams

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of medical-surgical telemetry experience, with 3 years and large-facility hospital experience for first-time travelers
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, IV therapy, and adult med-surg care skills

• Epic charting system experience
• PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience
• Cardiac telemetry experience
• Advanced cardiac, neuro, and post-procedure patient experience
