Travel First Assist Tech in Richmond, VA

A Travel First Assist Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will support surgical cases in the operating room on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The unit has 16 operating rooms, a 1:1 staffing pattern, and uses Meditech. Cases include robotics, neurosurgery, general, plastics, urology and orthopedics.

• Assist surgeons during operative cases
• Set up and maintain the sterile field
• Provide first assist support in robotic, orthopedic, neurosurgical and spine procedures
• Pass instruments and anticipate intraoperative needs
• Support patient positioning, prepping and draping
• Coordinate with the OR team throughout the case

• Virginia license
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential
• Robotic surgical experience
• Orthopedic, neurosurgical and spine experience
• Strong sterile technique and first assist skills
