Travel First Assist Tech in Richmond, VA

A Travel First Assist Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will support operating room procedures in an acute care hospital in Richmond, Virginia for a 13-week contract. The unit has 16 operating rooms, 1:1 staffing, Meditech charting, and multispecialty cases including robotic surgery.

• Assist surgeons during robotic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and general cases
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and supplies for each procedure
• Maintain a sterile field and support safe surgical technique
• Position and prep patients for surgery
• Anticipate surgeon needs and help with exposure and closure
• Document case support in Meditech and coordinate with the operating room team

• Current Virginia license
• Robotic, orthopedic, and neuro/spine first assist experience
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Strong sterile technique and teamwork skills

• General, plastics, and urology case experience
• Broad multispecialty operating room experience
