Travel ED RN in Pasadena, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide high-acuity emergency care in a 30-bed hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Pasadena, Texas. The unit manages trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis cases with patient ratios up to 1:5. Meditech charting is moving to Expanse.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients with trauma, stroke, STEMI, and sepsis
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition using advanced equipment
• Assist with arterial lines, massive transfusion protocol, thoracotomy, and other emergency procedures
• Coordinate care with providers and support staff during high-volume periods
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Support adult and pediatric emergency care as needed

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, and CPI with TIC
• Emergency Department nursing experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
• Advanced critical thinking and emergency assessment skills

• Adult and pediatric emergency department experience
• NRP and STABLE
