Travel ED RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a short term acute care hospital in Olympia, Washington on a 13-week contract. The 42-bed unit sees about 170 visits daily across neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics and uses Epic. It is a level I stroke and cardiac center with level III trauma capability functioning as level II.

• Triage patients across all age groups
• Assess and stabilize cardiac, stroke, and trauma presentations
• Monitor rhythms, vital signs, and treatment response
• Administer emergency medications and IV therapies
• Manage ventilated patients, central lines, and IV sedation
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, imaging, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Washington Registered Nurse license
• 1 year emergency department experience
• Epic charting experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Large facility experience
• Care of ventilated patients, central line management, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, and multisystem organ dysfunction management

• Arterial line management
