Travel ED RN in Knoxville, TN

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for boarded patients waiting for inpatient beds in a hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit serves admitted emergency patients in a designated area or hallway and works at a 6:1 ratio. It is a Level I Emergency Department setting with occasional support for acute care patients.

• Assess and monitor boarded emergency patients awaiting inpatient placement
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Coordinate care with the emergency team and inpatient units
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Support acute care patients when boarding volume is low
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns promptly

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• ACLS
• BLS
• 2 years of experience
• Emergency department or acute care experience
