Travel ED RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a busy emergency department on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit uses Cerner, has 101 beds, and supports medical patients and behavioral holds in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. Team-oriented staff serve a multicultural community.

• Deliver emergency nursing care to medical and behavioral health patients
• Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using bedside equipment
• Administer medications and coordinate emergent interventions
• Assist with trauma, stroke, and other emergency procedures
• Document assessments and care in Cerner
• Communicate with patients, families, and the care team using respectful service standards

• Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in the emergency room
• 2 years in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department with more than 100,000 visits
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS before starting
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Teamwork, coaching, and real-time feedback skills
