Travel CVOR Tech in San Antonio, TX

A Travel CVOR Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will assist in complex cardiac surgery in a hospital setting on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit handles heart and thoracic cases, uses Meditech, and commonly manages 3-4 patient assignments. It offers exposure to a busy surgical service with advanced cardiac procedures.

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room for complex surgical cases
• Assist surgeons during coronary bypass, valve, transplant, TAVR, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and support safe counts throughout the case
• Pass instruments, supplies, and implants to the surgical team
• Set up and break down the room for each case
• Document case activity and coordinate supplies in Meditech

• Texas Certified Surgical Technologist credential
• BLS certification
• 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience
• Heart experience
• Adult heart transplant experience

• Pediatric heart surgery
• Intra-aortic balloon pump and Cell Saver
• Peripheral vascular procedures
• Meditech experience
