Travel CVOR Tech in Salem, VA

A Travel CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist will assist with cardiac and thoracic surgery cases in an acute care hospital on a 10-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 2 operating room suites, uses Meditech, and maintains 1:1 staffing.

• Prepare the operating room for cardiac and thoracic cases
• Maintain sterile technique during open heart procedures
• Pass instruments and supplies during CABG, valve, thoracic, AAA, and pacemaker cases
• Assist with patient prep, positioning, and counts
• Organize instruments, implants, and supplies for complex cardiac procedures
• Support room turnover and case setup between procedures

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• CVOR experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential

• Scrubbing experience
• Flexibility in a fast-moving cardiac operating room
• Knowledge of cardiac surgical workflows
• Self-starter work style
