Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Napa, CA

A Travel Clinical Lab Scientist will support laboratory testing and blood bank services in an acute care hospital in Napa, California on a 20-week contract. The lab serves neonates through geriatrics and includes specimen processing, transfusion testing, and general diagnostic work.

• Process specimens from receipt through preparation, transport, and reporting
• Perform manual and automated testing across blood bank, urinalysis, hematology, and body fluid workflows
• Complete antibody screens, crossmatches, DAT, and transfusion reaction workups
• Review quality controls, maintain documentation, and verify accurate results
• Operate analyzers and automated instruments with proper labeling and specimen handling
• Follow hazardous materials practices, proper disposal, and transmission-based precautions

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Accredited clinical laboratory science program
• Blood bank testing, specimen processing, and quality control skills

• ASCP-MLS certification
• Microbiology culture reading experience
• PCR testing and rapid test kit experience
• Trauma Level II experience
