Travel Clinical Lab Scientist in Eureka, CA

A Travel Clinical Lab Scientist will work in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Eureka, California. First-time travelers are welcome, and the work includes hematology, coagulation, chemistry, serology, limited microbiology, and blood bank support with Epic charting in a trauma level 3 hospital.

• Perform generalist testing across hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, and limited microbiology
• Support blood bank testing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and transfusion reaction workups
• Process and verify specimens from receipt through analysis and reporting
• Run quality controls, review instrument performance, and document results accurately
• Assist with culture setup, wet prep, rapid testing, and organism identification as assigned
• Maintain proper specimen handling, labeling, and transport standards

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license in hand
• ASCP-MLS certification
• 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Recent blood bank experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience

• Siemens Dimensions experience
• Trauma Level II experience
