Travel Charge Nurse RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel CVOR Charge Registered Nurse will oversee open heart surgical support in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit has 2 heart rooms, a 1:1 assignment and uses Meditech and CPN.

• Lead charge coverage for cardiovascular operating room cases
• Coordinate patient flow, staffing and room readiness for open heart surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology and surgical technologists during procedures
• Monitor patient safety, sterile technique and perioperative standards
• Prepare the team for CABG, AVR, MVR and TAVR cases
• Support communication, problem solving and unit organization

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital CVOR Registered Nurse experience
• Charge CVOR Registered Nurse experience

• PALS certification
• Open heart and cardiovascular experience
• Meditech experience
