Travel Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in Salinas, CA

A Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will support skilled rehabilitation care for residents in a skilled nursing facility on a 13-week contract in Salinas, California. The role serves a diverse short-term rehabilitation population with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and medically complex patients and documents in Net Health. The Central Coast offers mild weather and access to nearby beaches and outdoor activities.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under licensed supervision
• Carry out individualized plans to improve ADLs, mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, and safety awareness
• Document patient care in electronic medical records
• Coordinate progress updates and discharge planning with the rehabilitation team
• Teach patients, caregivers, and staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies
• Support Medicare and documentation standards
• Participate in care conferences and team meetings

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility upon acceptance
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
