Travel Cath Lab Tech in Torrance, CA

A Travel Cath Lab Technician will support interventional cardiac procedures in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Torrance, California. The unit cares for adults and geriatrics, averages 4 to 7 cases per day, and uses supportive cardiac devices.

• Prepare patients, access sites and equipment for diagnostic and interventional cath cases
• Monitor vitals and rhythm during procedures and recognize unstable arrhythmias
• Assist with left and right heart caths, coronary angiograms and PCI cases
• Support high-risk interventions with Impella, IABP and Rotablader systems
• Maintain sterile technique, scrub field and procedural readiness
• Assist with thrombectomy, pacemaker, AICD and pericardiocentesis cases

• Active BLS, ACLS, ARRT R, CRT and fluoroscopy credentials
• 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
• Community hospital experience
• Prior travel experience
• Diagnostic and interventional cath lab experience with Impella, IABP, Rotablader and PACS

• Arrhythmia induction, cardioversion and conduction study experience
• TAVR, Watchman, LAA closure and AICD programming experience
• Philips, ultrasound and vascular closure system experience
• Teaching hospital or Trauma Level I experience
