Travel Cardiology RN in Overland Park, KS

A Travel Cardiology Registered Nurse will care for cardiac patients in an acute care hospital cardiac specialty unit on a 13-week contract in Overland Park, Kansas. The 26-bed unit uses Meditech, serves a 1:4 ratio, and supports telemetry with pacemakers in a brand new cardiac progressive stepdown setting.

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac status for post-procedure patients
• Titrate IV cardiac, heparin, and insulin infusions per order
• Assess patients for rhythm changes, chest pain, and instability
• Administer medications and coordinate care with the care team
• Document assessments, treatments, and responses in Meditech
• Educate patients and families on cardiac recovery and self-care

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Telemetry experience
• Experience managing cardiac patients post procedure
• Skill with IV medication titration
• Core cardiac nursing skills
