Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Santa Monica, CA

A Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will support diagnostic and interventional procedures in an acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California on a 13-week contract. Adults and geriatrics are cared for in a 4-room unit that uses Epic and handles 3 scheduled cases and up to 9 cases a day. The beachside setting offers access to the coast.

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor patients and support hemodynamic measurements during procedures
• Administer ordered medications and assist with drips
• Observe rhythm changes and respond to procedural complications
• Support stroke, vascular, and electrophysiology interventions
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and transport staff

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 2 years of cath lab experience
• Diagnostic cardiac cath lab experience
• Experience with IABP placement and removal
• Experience with left and right heart catheterization

• IR experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Vasopressor, thrombolytic, and antihypertensive medication management
• Procedural sedation and pulmonary artery line monitoring
