Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse will support adult and geriatric patients in an acute hospital on a 26-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The unit uses Epic, has Magnet and Level II Trauma designations, and includes occasional pediatric cases.

• Circulate diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor procedural sedation, hemodynamics, and dysrhythmias
• Prepare IV access, infusions, and emergency medications
• Assist with left and right heart catheterization and PCI
• Support IABP, Impella, laser, and rotablator procedures
• Use infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with the team for adult, geriatric, and pediatric cases

• Alaska Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience
• Epic charting experience
• Procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring skills
• IV insertion, blood product, and emergency medication administration skills

• ACT testing and sheath removal
• Impella insertion
• Angioplasty, stent placement, and endovascular interventions
• Pediatric diagnostic and interventional cath lab exposure
