A Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in a psychiatric unit at an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mason City, Iowa. The role supports behavioral health patients in a hospital setting.

• Assess patient status and observe for behavioral health changes
• Administer medications and monitor response to treatment
• Use therapeutic communication to support de-escalation and safety
• Document care, behaviors, and patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with the care team on treatment planning and discharge support
• Maintain a safe unit environment and follow behavioral health protocols

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Therapeutic communication and de-escalation skills
