Travel Behavioral Health RN in Kansas City, MO

A Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will provide care in a psychiatric hospital on a 13-week contract in Kansas City, Missouri. The unit serves adolescent and adult patients with lower and higher acuity behavioral health needs and uses Meditech charting. Therapeutic communication and safety-focused care are central.

• Assess mental health status and behavior changes
• Develop individualized care plans
• Administer psychotropic medications and monitor effects
• Apply therapeutic communication and de-escalation
• Monitor vital signs and mental status
• Support patients experiencing crisis or aggression

• Missouri Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• CPI certification
• Psychiatric nursing assessment, medication management, and crisis intervention skills
