Travel Ambulatory Care RN in Orange, CA

A Travel Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse will provide perioperative care in a children's hospital procedure center on a 13-week contract in Orange, California. The 6-room unit serves pediatric patients from infants to adolescents, with adults seen rarely, and uses Cerner. The setting is fast paced with a census of 35 to 40.

• Assist with pediatric minor surgical cases across ENT, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, urology, dentistry and oncology
• Prepare patients and support perioperative care for outpatient procedures
• Monitor pediatric patients and the rare adult patients before and after procedures
• Support GI, pulmonary and endoscopy cases in a fast paced setting
• Start peripheral IVs and manage ordered blood products as needed
• Document care in Cerner and follow safety, infection control and universal protocol

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and PALS
• 2 years of acute or outpatient experience
• General surgery experience with the majority of listed specialty areas
• Cerner charting experience
• Prior travel experience

• Ambulatory OR experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Bone marrow and central venous line procedure experience
