Per Diem EEG Tech in San Diego, CA

A Per Diem Electrocardiogram Technician will perform diagnostic EKG procedures and related cardiac testing in inpatient and outpatient settings in San Diego, California. The role includes editing and confirming EKGs, reviewing tracings for abnormal rhythms, and supporting cardiology diagnostics.

• Prepare and instruct patients for diagnostic EKG testing
• Perform inpatient and outpatient EKG procedures as ordered
• Place Holter and event monitors and record findings
• Edit and confirm EKGs according to provider interpretation
• Review tracings for markedly abnormal rhythms and escalate concerns
• Assist with other cardiac diagnostic testing as needed

• Completion of Basic ECG Course Parts 1 and 2
• Successful EKG rhythm recognition test
• Graduate-level electrocardiography training
