Travel Sterile Processing Tech in North Charleston, SC

A Travel Sterile Processing Technician will decontaminate, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments in a hospital sterile processing unit on a 13-week contract in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role supports a Level I trauma center, teaching hospital, and Magnet hospital.

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and reusable devices
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets and trays
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and high-level disinfection processes
• Reprocess scopes and probes
• Prepare case carts and supplies for multiple surgical specialties
• Inspect, sort, and document sterile processing workflow

• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• CBSPD or HSPA certification
• Experience with decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization
• Experience with scope and probe reprocessing
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I trauma experience

• Biological and chemical indicators
• Immediate-use steam sterilization and steam sterilization testing
• Case cart handling and equipment documentation
• Sterile Processing Microsystem experience
