Travel Social Worker in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Social Worker Master of Social Work will support adults in an oncology support services unit on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The setting is a magnet, level II trauma cancer care center and uses Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Complete psychosocial and biopsychosocial assessments
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resources
• Support insurance, benefits, and aid navigation
• Document care plans, teaching, and responses in Epic
• Collaborate with the care team on patient needs
• Provide counseling, crisis support, and referral follow-up

• Master of Social Work
• 1 year of social work experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Care coordination and case management skills
• Biopsychosocial assessment experience

• BLS
• Alaska social work license
• Cancer care experience
• Cultural awareness
