Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Wichita, KS

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care and ventilator support in an acute care hospital in Wichita, Kansas on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adult intensive care, PICU and NICU patients, uses Meditech charting and supports advanced respiratory care in a Level 1 trauma setting.

• Assess respiratory status and respond to changes in patient condition
• Provide respiratory care treatments and supportive therapies
• Manage invasive and noninvasive ventilator support
• Support high-flow oxygen therapy and airway equipment
• Monitor therapy response, breath sounds and other clinical indicators
• Collaborate with critical care teams across adult, PICU and NICU settings
• Document care and patient response in the electronic record

• 6 months of current Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• NBRC certification
• BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Adult critical care and ventilator management skills

• Pediatric and PICU experience
• Strong ICU experience
