About this job

A Travel Polysomnographer Registered Polysomnographic Technologist will perform sleep studies in a hospital sleep lab on a 26-week contract in Medford, Oregon. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with Epic charting and testing for obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and PLMS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform polysomnography and related sleep studies
  • Monitor patients during MSLT and home sleep testing workflows
  • Apply and adjust CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, and VPAP support as ordered
  • Record signals including ECG, EEG, RIP, O2 saturation, and end-tidal CO2
  • Score sleep stages, arousals, respiratory events, hypopnea, and PLM findings
  • Educate patients and maintain infection control during testing

Qualifications

  • BLS, RPSGT, Oregon polysomnography license
  • Epic charting system experience, hospital sleep lab experience
  • End-tidal CO2 monitoring, ECG, EEG, O2 saturation, respiratory inductance plethysmography, PSG scoring
  • Adult MSLT, baseline sleep polysomnography, home sleep test, patient education
  • ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, ResMed, full face, nasal mask, nasal pillow
  • Arousal, transient arousals, sleep stages, respiratory events, hypopnea, complex sleep apnea, Cheyne-Stokes, periodic breathing, periodic limb movement, cardiac abnormalities, oxygen administration, infection control
