Travel Physical Therapist in Mission Viejo, CA

A Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist will provide inpatient therapy in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Viejo, California. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, uses Epic, and includes stroke, trauma, cardiac and orthopedic cases. First-time travelers are welcome with acute care experience.

• Assess mobility, strength, balance and functional needs
• Develop and update treatment plans for acute care patients
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training and transfer training
• Educate patients and families on safe mobility and discharge planning
• Collaborate with the care team to support recovery and safe discharge
• Document evaluations, progress and outcomes in the chart

• California Physical Therapist license
• BLS
• 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
• Ability to work independently in an acute care setting

• Epic charting system experience
• ICU experience
• Cardiopulmonary acute care experience
• Orthopedic and neurologic acute care experience
