Travel Pediatrics PACU RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse will care for pediatric patients in pre-op and post-anesthesia recovery in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, with Epic charting, a 1:1 ratio, and a teaching hospital setting.

• Assess pediatric patients before surgery and during recovery
• Monitor airway status, sedation, pain, and vital signs
• Support Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery
• Administer ordered medications and monitor response
• Recognize and respond to rhythm and recovery changes
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams
• Provide age-appropriate patient and family support

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and PALS certifications
• 1 year of pediatric PACU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Experience with Phase I PACU, pre-op, and post-op recovery
• Experience with dysrhythmia recognition, conscious sedation, MAC, nerve blocks, reversal agents, pain assessment, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
• Experience with ambulatory, outpatient, general, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and plastic surgery cases
• Experience caring for 1:2 patient ratios

• ACLS certification
