Travel Pediatrics PACU RN in Norfolk, VA

A Travel Pediatric Post Anesthetic Care Registered Nurse will provide recovery care for pediatric patients in a children's hospital on a 13-week contract in Norfolk, Virginia. The unit manages phase 1 and phase 2 recovery for children after procedures, with close airway monitoring, Aldrete scoring, medication administration, and discharge teaching.

• Monitor pediatric patients through phase 1 and phase 2 recovery
• Assess airway status, vital signs, and readiness for discharge
• Administer medications and support ordered recovery therapies
• Recover children after diagnostic and surgical procedures
• Coordinate updates and discharge instructions with the care team
• Provide patient and family teaching before transfer or discharge

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• Direct pediatric PACU experience
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
• Airway management skills
• Post-anesthesia assessment, Aldrete scoring, and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and discharge teaching skills
