Travel Orthopedics RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Orthopedics Registered Nurse will care for adults on a 41-bed orthopedic and spine unit in an acute care hospital on a 26-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit also serves multitrauma and med/surg overflow patients, uses Epic, and staffs at a 1:5 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide care for orthopedic, spine, trauma, and med/surg overflow patients
• Monitor remote telemetry and report changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and blood products
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Support post-op recovery, wound care, and wound vac therapy
• Use isolation precautions and assist with rapid response needs

• California Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• IV therapy, line care, wound care, and blood product administration skills

• Port access and management
• Chest tube management
• Continuous bladder irrigation
