Travel Orthopedics RN in Santa Rosa, CA

A Travel Orthopedics Registered Nurse will care for adult orthopedic, spine, and trauma patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Santa Rosa, California. The unit has 41 beds, uses Epic, includes remote telemetry, and also sees med/surg overflow; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Provide nursing care for orthopedic, spine, and trauma patients
• Monitor remote telemetry and respond to changes in condition
• Manage IV access, central lines, PICCs, and peripheral nerve block catheters
• Administer oxygen therapy, blood products, and enteral support as ordered
• Perform wound care, wound vac care, and isolation precautions
• Support recovery after total joint replacement and other orthopedic surgeries
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience
• Experience with adult orthopedic, spine, and trauma patients
• Experience with remote telemetry, IV therapy, central line care, PICC management, and wound care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen therapy, blood products, feeding tubes, and rapid response teams

• Port access and management
• Chest tube management
• Continuous bladder irrigation, high-flow nasal cannula, and lumbar drain experience
• Trauma level II experience
