Travel OR RN in Boston, MA

A Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse will support surgical care in an acute care hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on a 13-week contract. The unit has 20 operating rooms and serves gynecology, general, urology, robotics, oncology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, plastic, and interventional pulmonology cases. Epic transition is underway.

• Assist with circulating and scrub duties for surgical cases
• Prepare operating rooms and maintain sterile technique
• Support orthopedic and other specialty procedures
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs during cases
• Coordinate instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
• Document perioperative care in the electronic record
• Collaborate with the perioperative team for safe patient flow

• Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, with application allowed at offer
• AHA BLS certification
• 1-3 years of related operating room experience
• Orthopedic operating room experience
• Scrub experience
• Electronic medical record experience
• Basic computer navigation skills

• Epic experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Specialty area expertise
