Travel OR RN in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse will support surgical cases in Anchorage, Alaska on a 26-week contract. The unit uses Epic and serves neonates through geriatrics in an 18-room hospital operating room with about 40 cases daily. Cases include bariatric, orthopedic, neuro, gynecology and trauma surgeries in a Magnet Level II trauma hospital.

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical cases
• Assist with orthopedic, neuro, gynecology and trauma procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and universal protocol
• Monitor patients throughout perioperative care
• Handle specimens and surgical counts
• Coordinate with the surgical team

• Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand
• Basic Life Support certification
• 2 years of operating room Registered Nurse experience
• Epic charting experience
• Operating room, scrub and circulating skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• CNOR credential
• Trauma Level I experience
