Travel Occupational Therapist in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Occupational Therapist will provide inpatient rehabilitation support in an acute hospital on a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. The role serves adults and geriatrics in acute care and skilled nursing, uses Epic charting, and is in a Magnet Level II trauma hospital; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Evaluate adult and geriatric patients for occupational therapy needs
• Develop and update individualized plans of care
• Deliver therapeutic interventions for daily living skills and functional recovery
• Train patients and families on adaptive equipment and safety strategies
• Complete pre-discharge planning and discharge education
• Perform wheelchair evaluation, adjustment, and positioning support
• Document care and communicate progress in Epic

• BLS certification
• NBCOT certification
• Alaska Occupational Therapist license, pending accepted
• 1 year of acute care and skilled nursing experience
• Core occupational therapy assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills

• Adult rehabilitation experience
• Neurologic and orthopedic rehab experience, including CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis
• Splinting, wheelchair positioning, and transfer skills
• Epic charting system experience
