Travel NICU RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide care for critically ill newborns in a neonatal intensive care unit in Wichita, Kansas on a 13-week contract. The unit uses 2:1 NICU and 3:1 NSCU ratios, cares for surgical and cooling patients, and charts in Meditech with Neonatal Notes Manager.

• Provide direct care for critically ill newborns
• Monitor infants receiving IV therapy and whole body cooling
• Assist with surgical cases, including NEC, PDA and CVC care
• Support high frequency ventilation and chest tube management
• Collaborate with the care team to promote family-centered care
• Document assessments and interventions in the electronic record

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certification
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care NICU hospital experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Level IV NICU experience
• Prior Meditech experience
• Experience in a large teaching hospital
