About this job

A Travel Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse will provide care for critically ill newborns in a NICU on a 13-week contract in Dayton, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill newborns
  • Monitor respiratory status, vital signs and feeding tolerance
  • Manage central lines, PICC lines and umbilical lines
  • Assist with oxygen therapy, CPAP, NIV and ventilator care
  • Administer medications, fluids and neonatal feeds
  • Document assessments, interventions and patient responses

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse license
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • CPR certification
  • NRP certification
  • 1 year of NICU experience
  • Competency with central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines and neonatal respiratory support

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • More than 2 years of NICU experience
  • G-tube experience
  • Tracheostomy experience
