Travel Medical Lab Tech in Winnebago, NE

A Travel Medical Laboratory Technician will perform laboratory testing in a small rural hospital laboratory on a 16-week contract in Winnebago, Nebraska.

• Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens
• Accession orders and process specimens in the laboratory information system
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot basic workflow and instrument issues
• Collect routine specimens and assist with phlebotomy
• Document procedures and maintain lab records

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science
• Medical Laboratory Technician certification or registration through ASCP, AMT, or NCA
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and HEW certifications
• Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control, and chemical and biological hazards
• Routine phlebotomy, specimen acquisition, and independent work skills

• One year of medical laboratory experience
