Travel Medical Lab Tech in Orangeburg, SC

A Travel Medical Laboratory Technician will support chemistry and microbiology testing in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The unit serves infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, and Epic is used for charting in a Level III trauma center. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Perform chemistry and microbiology testing on automated analyzers
• Process, accession, and label specimens for laboratory testing
• Prepare samples and run routine PCR and rapid screening tests
• Review quality control and document accurate test results
• Support culture setup and organism identification workflows
• Follow patient identification, safety, and proper disposal practices

• ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist certification, or AMT Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist certification
• 1 year of general laboratory experience
• Specimen processing, quality control, and result reporting skills

• Epic charting experience
• Alinity, BioFire, and Cepheid analyzer experience
