Travel Medical Assistant in Tarzana, CA

A Travel Medical Assistant will support an outpatient clinic in Tarzana, California on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with Epic charting and a high-volume patient flow. Venipuncture and blood draws are central to the role.

• Room patients and obtain histories, medications, and allergies
• Take vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry
• Perform venipuncture and label specimens
• Assist with immunizations, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
• Support wound care, dressing changes, and other clinic procedures
• Document care in Epic and complete follow-up calls

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• Current BLS certification
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic setting
• Recent venipuncture experience
• Epic charting experience
• Willingness to work with pediatric patients

• Authorization form processing
