Travel Med Surg RN in Santa Monica, CA

A Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital in Santa Monica, California on a 13-week contract. The unit averages 12 patients and uses Epic charting.

• Provide bedside care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Administer blood products and monitor for transfusion reactions
• Manage chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigations, PCA, and high-flow oxygen support
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, IV starts, and peripheral line care
• Support non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy
• Use safe patient handling techniques and coordinate with the care team

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 1 year of medical-surgical Registered Nurse experience
• Adult and geriatric bedside care, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and peripheral line management skills
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel Registered Nurse experience

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
